JoyEngine was created in 2006 to highlight good work and serve as a source of creative inspiration. Driven by an author/contributor base of like-minded creatives, the site is in a state of perpetual change, occasionally pausing to call attention to noteworthy endeavors.
Rooted in the belief that the whole can be much greater than the sum of its parts, JoyEngine was birthed from the concept that good things were sometimes lost in the hype of lesser things, and that good things deserved to be shared. It's this affinity for sharing that bonds the JoyEngine authors/contributors to one another, and propels them to inspire others.
While the content of JoyEngine spans a variety of criteria from graphic design to graffiti, from indy DIY fashion to contemporary art, from national and global politics to local events, it's all bound by a shared consciousness. That shared consciousness is that change is inevitable, that change is good, and that change leads to progress - whether it be in the arts or in politics or in your own neighborhood.
